Why Foxxy and Mickey?

Foxxy established Petit Bijou in the ring during the first AKC acceptance year. She titled quickly, earned recognition at Royal Canin, and exemplified the elegant type seen in the breed at that time. She carries exceptional pigment, beautiful feminine expression, and a correct silky coat.

However, as the breed continues to mature — and with the updated AKC standard placing height between 8–10 inches — our focus has shifted toward producing greater consistency in structure, proportion, and balance.

Mickey was thoughtfully selected for this breeding because of the qualities he consistently contributes. Although he is now retired from our active breeding program, we believed his structural strengths and pedigree warranted one final opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the future of Petit Bijou and to the breed as a whole.
